Situated on the Dolphin Coast, KwaZulu Natal, this tastefully decorated luxury apartment is your ideal getaway holiday destination. The Pentire Point resort is set in a lovely, wooded area overlooking the Indian Ocean and offers stunning, panoramic sea-views perfect for watching the sunrise. We are ideally placed for the FIFA 2010 Football World Cup, with Durban playing host to 7 matches during the tournament.
Our apartment is on the first floor, but is accessible without needing to climb any stairs. The resort benefits from 24-hour manned security, alarm, intercom system and electronic gates.
The unit sleeps 6 adults comfortably in 3 bedrooms, with a queen size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in bedrooms 2 & 3. The bedrooms are spacious and all linen supplied, except for towels. There is an en-suite shower-room with a huge 2-person shower and a second full bathroom.
The rest of the accommodation is open-plan with fully-fitted kitchen, lounge and dining areas. Step out of the lounge, main or 2nd bedrooms directly onto the huge patio. While relaxing on recliners, catching a tan or enjoying an outdoor meal, your view of the ocean may include dolphins at play or whales passing by.
The kitchen is fitted with oven and hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and percolator. Crockery, cutlery, table linen, automatic washing machine and a tumbledryer are at your disposal. A portable Braai is also available.
To ensure the safety of your vehicle, the unit has a single, lockup garage. When you arrive, you can drive in, close and lock the garage door behind you and then unload in complete safety. There is access directly from the garage into the unit. There is parking for a second car and casual visitors are welcome to use the on-site parking area.
In the lounge you will find CD player, TV, VCR, DVD Player and Satellite Decoder; however please bring your own DStv smartcard or hire one locally.
The Dolphin Coast
Chaka's Rock is a coastal resort about 45 kilometers north of Durban. This holiday destination is right in the heart of the Dolphin Coast, which is a magnificent 50 Kilometer stretch of beaches and offers a variety of activities for sport and action lovers, including 4 world-class golf courses. Nearby Ballito offers modern shopping centres, excellent restaurants, takeaways, pubs and night time entertainment.
The apartment is a few minutes' walk away from the Chaka's Rock beach which has beautiful rock pools, safe swimming, diving, snorkelling, fishing and the collecting of shell fish (permits required).
Between Ballito and Durban lies Umhlanga - there you will find attractions such as Gateway, the largest shopping mall in KZN, the Sugar Mill Casino, and the
Natal Sharks Board visitors centre.
Two hours to the north are the
Mkuze Safari Game Reserves with the Big 5 and many other species of wild animal. In the area there are also the St. Lucia coastal wetlands which are well worth a visit to view the flora and fauna.
