1 Martinique is an upmarket, freestanding unit situated on the front row of
Shakas Rock's main beach on the popular Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu Natal.
The 4-bedroom self-catering unit is luxuarious and a mere walk on the path
across the rocks to the lifeguard protected Thompson's Bay swimming beach. This
popular main beach has a large tidal pool, shallow paddling pools for kids and
shark nets for your protection. The rocks in front of the house are a very
popular fishing area for local fisherman and holidaymakers.
The spectacular 180-degree breaker sea views (and dolphins swimming past!) are
our trade mark with the waves breaking a mere stone's throw from the very large
patio. The braai area has been equipped with new outdoor furniture, gas braai
and Weber.
The main bedroom is situated upstairs with magnificent breaker sea views. It has
a king size bed, plasma TV, DSTV decoder, mini hi-fi and chairs. The en-suite
bathroom includes a shower, bath, basin and toilet. The second and third
bedrooms have a double and king size beds respectively with beautiful breaker
sea views. The fourth bedroom has two single beds. The second bathroom is
situated downstairs with a shower, toilet and basin. All bedrooms are fitted
with new linen and bath and swimming towels are supplied. Combination safe
available.
The lounge area is equipped with plasma TV, DVD/CD player and DStv decoder. The
open plan kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven,
microwave, water filter and ice machine. High quality cutlery and crockery
supplied for 8 guests.
Single lockup garage and secure parking for visitors. Washing machine and tumble
dryer available. Dining room table with seating for 8 guests.
The unit is fully serviced except for Sundays. Strictly no smoking permitted
inside the house. Strictly no animals permitted on the property. Children of all
ages are welcome.
The complex is accessed through a remote controlled gate, protected by guards at
night and has a large, fully fenced sparkling swimming pool and braai area.
We are a short drive from excellent restaurants and shore front pubs. There are
a large variety of shops in the vicinity. Elegant shopping at Gateway and La
Lucia malls. Sibaya casino and entertainment center is within a 20 minute
drive. Movie theaters are available at the large Gateway shopping mall which is
within a 20 minute drive.
Take the children to the crocodile or snake parks close by. There is also an
animal farm in the area.
There are 3 golf courses in the immediate area, which include the famous and
luxurious Zimbali Estate. Princes Grant is just north of Shaka's Rock and
Umhlali golf course is also close by.
