It is Peter’s oft-stated opinion that Scuba Diving should come with a public
health warning reading “Approach with extreme caution! Scuba Diving is seriously
addictive”. It has certainly been proved time and time again that Scuba Diving
is a uniquely life-changing experience.
Eighty percent of Planet Earth is covered by water. On seeing photos of our
Blue Planet taken from space, Arthur C. Clark remarked “It is strange that we
should call our Planet Earth when it is so clearly Water”. Yet it is only us
privileged few Scuba Divers that actually get to experience the underwater realm
at first hand. And every dive is a different experience. The Adventure continues
dive after dive, as Peter with many thousand of dives under his belt can
personally attest.
2nd Breath Scuba Diving consciously strives to provide
a personalized exclusive service, tailored to your schedule and your
requirements. When you and your family / friends sign up for a course you are
guaranteed that only your party will be on the course together. You will
not turn up on day one to find another group of strangers doing the
course as well.

2nd Breath Scuba Diving.
Our Shark Awareness Distinctive Specialty is but one example. The
Instructor Outline was written by Peter but is fully approved and sanctioned by
PADI International in Bristol, England. Exclusive to
2nd Breath Scuba Diving,
it has been designed to accommodate both Divers and non-divers (of course the
latter don’t get to do the shark dives!).
2nd Breath Scuba Diving is a fully accredited PADI Dive Centre.
There is a purpose-built 3.5 metre deep diver training pool for safe,
stress-free training and practice. Within a few metres of the pool is the
comfortable and comprehensively equipped classroom, including video and DVD
facilities. Imported equipment may be purchased from our retail facility within
the complex. Equipment room housing school / rental equipment with changing
facilities, and workshop with diving air compressor, are also on site - all set
within a beautiful large mature subtropical garden.
2nd Breath Scuba Diving is based in the resort town of
Margate, KwaZulu Natal with access to two of the world’s premier dive locations
– Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks. From the garden are scenic views looking down
onto the town and across to the sea itself.
Committed to Ecotourism, defined as ‘responsible travel to natural areas that
conserves the environment and sustains the well-being of local people’, via
PADI’s Go ECO (Explore Conserve Observe) initiative. Actively promoting Project
AWARE (Aquatic World Awareness, Responsibility and Education).
