Come & experience the thrill of a drift dive with wild sharks in their
natural environment.
Protea Banks has been rated one of the worlds best shark dives. Species
encountered include Zambezi (Bull sharks), Hammerhead, Ragged-tooth, Tiger,
Blacktip, Copper & the occasional Great White. There is also a large variety of
game & reef fish, rays, skates & moray eels.
No cages are used.
Experienced divers only as it is a deep dive
with strong currents.
Safety & the protection of the reef
are our priorities.
We offer speciality shark dives on the world famous Protea Banks, Shelly Beach.
Our dives are guided by a Level 4 underwater marine and shark diving guide with
over 2000 dives experience on Protea Banks alone.
As all our dives are deep dives to about 30m, we only allow experienced and
qualified divers on our boats.
Minimum qualification is Advanced Diver or 25 logged dives.
In winter we dive the Northern Pinnacle with its three caves which are full of
Sandtiger sharks, often more than 100.
During summer we dive the Southern Pinnacle where we see Hammerheads, Bull
sharks, Tiger sharks, Black Tips and much more.
Our speciality is our Baited Dive.
Here we experience shark encounters in touching distance non stop for up to 80
minutes. Shark enthusiasts and photographers cannot get better !!!
Our success rate is about 97%. From February to May we see mainly Tiger sharks
and Bull sharks come to our bait almost all year round.
On all our dives we adhere to very strict safety procedures which are explained
to every diver in detail.
Our three Semi Ridgid Boats can each carry up to 10 divers plus dive master and
skipper.
They are all equipped with Oxygen, First Aid Kit, Radio and Emergency equipment.
