Survival adventure skills training South Africa - Alive Survival School
Good survival training is essential to the outdoor enthusiast and anyone exposed
to the elements whether by choice or accident.
Our survival course trains you in building shelters, finding water, fire making
and orientation with or without compass, bush foods and medicines, rope and knot
work, first aid, plant, tree and animal identification and much more.
These basic skills have been forgotten with our modern lifestyle. With our
course rediscover nature and learn from it again the way mankind did from the
dawn of time.
There are many advantages to possessing wilderness survival skills:
you are less likely to become lost in wilderness areas,
if lost, you are much more likely to survive,
knowing the skills and spending time in the bush practicing them gives an
enhanced appreciation of nature,
increase self-confidence from knowing you can take care of yourself and others,
enjoy the adventure that is nature.
Courses assemble at either Jagerhof Game Lodge or the entrance to the
Baviaanskloof. Transfers can also be arranged.
Jagerhof Game Lodge
Malaria free Jagerhof Game Lodge is situated 30 minutes from Port Elizabeth and
is a special place of beauty bordered by the mountains and overlooking the sea
where tranquil living is the norm. It is surrounded by rolling hills, lush green
fields, African thorn trees and wildlife in all directions. You can watch the
amazing sight of a gangly giraffe stretching for the lush green leaves of trees
or view many different antelope species as they drink from the waterhole and
enjoy the fresh air of the coastal forest biome with magnificent views of St.
Francis Bay, amongst some of the most beautiful indigenous fauna and flora South
Africa has to offer.
Baviaanskloof
Malaria-free, it has World Heritage Site status and seven of South Africa's
eight biomes. Abundant wildlife includes three of the big five: black rhino,
Cape buffalo and Cape leopard.
