Dipereng Horse Holidays and Tours offers the national and international Horse
Riding enthusiast the opportunity to visit the interesting and diverse
equestrian centers and horse breeding studs situated in the Eastern Free State
area. Based on a Leisure Complex known as "The Siding" (S708 off theN8 to Maseru
Bridge Border Post) into Lesotho, it is ideal as a base for visitors to tour
throughout the Eastern Free State region, Lesotho. Through partner
organizations, we can arrange and organize special interest tours (trail riding,
bass fishing, visits to rock art, steam trains, history andculture) in the form
of day trips or short breaks into the majestic Lesotho mountains.
Dipereng Equestrian Services comprises two small businesses created with the
objective of job creation and to promote education in the management of horses
and ponies. Since 2005 the owner has successfully bred and produced sport horses
from the Irish breeds, Connemara and Irish Draught, both emerging breeds in
South Africa, the Connemara being a major breed influence on the indigenous
Basotho Pony. Visitors are welcome to visit the stud, partake in horse riding
activities, learn about horse management as well as to bring their own horses
for a fun, relaxing holiday. For the non-rider, they can relax and enjoy the
magnificent sandstone scenery, fabulous night skies, diverse local cuisine or
just to relax in the tranquility of this rural area. Secure stabling and grazing
is available for out of town horses and ponies.
