Tourism Awards 2009.
This owner-run horse trail company, established in 1998 is offering personal horse trekking vacations along the pristine Wild Coast. A warm welcome
and unforgettable equestrian experience awaits visitors to Mkulu Kei Horse Trails.
Situated on the Morgan Bay road in the Eastern Cape, our horse riding trails will take you along some of the finest undisturbed coastlines in the
world. The warm water of the Agulhas current meets wide golden beaches and rocky shores which support a fascinating and diverse animal kingdom. Deep
river valleys, wide lagoons, magnificent indigenous coastal forests, bird, animal and plant life in profusion. You will see rolling hills doted with
Xhosa huts, rich Savannah grasslands and thick-forested valleys with multitudes of rivulets, cascading down to rivers that eventually spill out onto
quiet sandy beaches, fantastic high rise cliffs and spectacular rock formations that make the Wild Coast one of the most beautiful places in the
world.
Stunning views and awesome riding along a pristine coastline. An exhilarating experience! Over 250 species of birds, inland, coastal and seabird rub
shoulders in this space and compete for sky space; below the dolphins and whales frolic in the sea. Accommodation on trail in cosy family-style beach
hotels en route.
Cheryl was determined from the outset that her horses would be mounts you would love to take home no matter what your riding ability and we can cater
for the whole family, from children to grandparents. With horses to suit all riding abilities, from beginner to advanced rider. Join us for a working
horse riding gap holiday opportunity. Our clients are pleasantly surprised with the quality of our horses and the care and time we take in matching
each rider to a horse thus ensuring maximum pleasure for both rider and horse. We get complements from clients on just how sure footed and confident
the horses are.
