OUTRAGEOUS ADVENTURES
River Rafting / Team Building
in Clarens, Free State, South Africa
At Outrageous Adventures we specialize in white water river rafting,
teambuilding adventures, corporate getaways, conferences with an adventures
edge, kayaking and abseiling in Southern Africa for anyone who wants to spend an
exciting day (or a few days) in nature.
We do most of our teambuilding, abseiling, white-water river rafting and
kayaking in South Africa on the Vaal River near Parys, the Ash River near
Clarens, and in KwaZulu-Natal. In KwaZulu-Natal there are some awesome rivers,
the Mkomazi (the old Umkomaas), the Umzimkulu and yes, the mighty Tugela river
and the Pongola. But there are also some lesser known rivers like the Bivane
river, a little gem, which has awesome scenery close to Ithala Game Reserve,
ideal for corporate getaways and teambuilding. And don't forget the Transkei and
the reasonably un-explored rivers there, like the Umzimvubu, the Tina and the
Tsitsa. Perfect for the more adventures types looking for an expedition! Don't
forget the Orange river either. Beautiful rugged scenery, an awesome multi-day
experience paddling down the Orange river and camping on the banks of the river
at night.
Experience the tranquility of nature and the excitement and thrill of
white-water rapids from our two-man inflatable rafts affectionately known as
"crocs". And maybe it rains enough and then we get to use the big 6-man rafts!
That's fun! Or join us on the Ash river near Clarens, where we use the big 6-man
rafts everyday all year round 'cos the water is always high! Awesome!
Roughing it or luxurious, we cater for every taste and every pocket. A
one-day white-water raft or kayak outing, teambuilding, a corporate getaway, a
multi-day overnight on the banks of the river type expedition - you name it, we
do it.
Excitement and adventure ranging from mild to wild!
Outrageous Adventures is based on the Ash River near Clarens in the Eastern
Free State, where we have exciting grade 3 and 4 white water rafting all year
round, 365 days a year! It is not rain dependant! The Ash River is fed by the
Trans Caledon Transfer Tunnel, which pumps water from the Katze Dam high up in
the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho. The crystal clear water then flows down the Ash
River all the way to the Vaal dam.
