children's needs whilst traveling in South Africa and to the leisure needs

Services (Babysitting & AuPair Placement).
Event Management
Event Organisers or Corporate Businesses can request a programme designed
specifically to entertain children at a Function/Event (Eg: Corporate Family
Day), or at a National Conference which encourages family travel to the
event and offers all delegates and their families a travel, entertainment
and leisure programme during the event and pre/post the event.
Stars in Transition believes that is important for Corporates to entertain
clients and reward their loyal staff by involving the family as a whole. We
make this possible!
Child-Minders & Travelling Sitters
Our Child-Minders and Travelling Sitters are professional, consistent,
reliable, qualified and experienced in child-care and first-aid. They are
hand-picked to provide supervisory/custodial care to your children and have
contactable references. All of our sitters have their own transport and in a
crisis situation will be able to respond effectively by ensuring your
children reach a doctor or hospital rapidly. We ensure your peace of mind
while you are away from home, for local families and families travelling or
visiting South Africa.
Services Offered:
Hourly childminding / Babysitting
Au-pair placement
Live-in childminding service for when parents are away from home

Please note that you will be guaranteed an hourly Child-Minder if you have
booked at least 48 hours in advance and a Travelling Sitter if you have
booked 1 month in advance. If a request is submitted later than this we may
not be able to help you and your request for a sitter will only be obliged
if a Child-Minder/Travelling Sitter is readily available in your area for
the time of your request. This ensures quality of service.
Holiday & Leadership Camps
3 DAY - SURVIVAL HOLIDAY CAMP
The 3-Day Survival Holiday Camp takes children through the steps to build
shelters, how to collect water, fire making, and orientation with and
without compasses, bush foods and medicines, rope and knot work, first aid,
plant, tree and animal identification and a whole lot more.
There are many advantages of training people in wilderness survival skills:
- they are less likely to become lost while in wilderness areas
- if they do become lost, they are much more likely to survive the
experience
- knowing the skills and spending time out in the bush practicing them gives
them a greatly enhanced
appreciation of the natural world
- increased self-confidence from knowing they can take care of themselves
and others
- it's an adventure and an enjoyable way to spend time in nature
You would be required to meet our facilitators at the entrance toThe Island
Reserve which is near the Seaview Lionpark, a mere 10 minutes drive from
town. The Reserve comprises 480 ha of indigenous Alexandria coastal forest
and boasts tree species such as Outeniqua yellow-wood, white and hard pear
as well as white milkwood. Fauna include small blue duiker, bushbuck, vervet
monkey and bush pigs. More than fifty species of birds have been recorded,
amongst them the Knysna lourie. It's a beautiful and safe place for the kids
to have good, clean fun away from the gadgets of modern life!
