The Robertson Wine Valley will proudly host its second Hands on Harvest Festival from 26 - 28 February 2010. This boutique event offers wine aficionados and budding vintners a chance to experience the magic of harvest for a day - without having to quit their day jobs! Because the groups are small and intimate, you are sure to have a hands-on experience you’ll never forget.

This festival also doesn't exclude the children. Many of the activities are 'kiddie-friendly' and on Sunday, the Harvest Market promises to be a true family affair.

Activities guests can also look forward to, include grape picking, grape stomping, vineyard tractor trips, grape vs wine tasting, and loads more.

To make this experience as memorable as possible we supply you with a few 'Harvest Tips'

• The day could start out cool and warm up by early afternoon, so we suggest layered clothing and sturdy shoes or boots. Sandals or open toes are not recommended.
• Bring a pair of gloves, especially if you don’t want your hands to get sticky form picking the grapes. Dishwashing gloves works better than work gloves as they are flexible.
• Bing a hat, sun block and a bottle of water, especially if you are taking part in one of the more lengthy activities.
• Bring your medicine if you are allergic to bees or get hay fever.
• Don't forget your camera as you will have plenty opportunity to capture your hands-on harvest experience. (You are welcome to send us your photo’s afterwards)
• Most importantly, remember you are here to have a great time!

Bookings for all the activities need to be done directly with the hosts and before Wednesday, 24 February 2010.
As we do not want to hassle you with such formalities as payment on the day at our gathering, please pay in advance.
