Umkulu Canoe Trails is a South African owner operated river rafting and safari company
specialising in rafting trips on the Orange and Breede Rivers and tailor-made safaris in Southern
Africa.
Our policy entails to provide clients with value for money outdoor experiences with a special
emphasis on respect for the environment, knowledgeable guiding and top quality equipment and food,
all of which are prepared on open fires.
The Richtersveld desert reserve, where we conduct our Orange river rafting trips are one of the
few true wilderness areas in South Africa and the geological features, unspoilt beauty and true
tranquillity is a source of inspiration to many a happy client. The faster flowing sections are a
source of great fun for young and old.
The Orange River is an amazing getaway for corporate groups, families and friends wanting to
explore nature in the company of knowledgeable and experienced guides.
The Breede River close to Cape Town is the ideal corporate or family getaway. The beauty of the
Breede river valley and the tranquil flow of the Breede River ensure a day of true fun and
relaxation not far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Our safaris are conducted in tailor-made safari vehicles. Special emphasis is put on fauna and
flora, people, history and geology of Southern Africa. Botswana, Namibia and Zambia are our fields
of expertise and we try and stay of the beaten track, providing top quality bush experiences.
