Whitewater Training is the hub of all kayaking activities in Southern Africa. We offer a range of kayak schools and courses to cater for everybody from beginners to trip leaders. Whitewater Training is located on the Vaal, an hours drive from Johannesburg. We are one of only two registered kayaking schools in the country. All our instructors are registered with APA.

Rolling Clinic
This is an introduction to kayaking and is the idea is for you to come and see if kayaking is for you. It gives a broad view of the sport and includes a session in the pool with one of our friendly instructors.

Beginners Kayak School
This course is designed to give you a good grounding and aware of important characteristics of a river. The course takes place over a weekend and includes a run down the river.

All our courses are very flexible and offered on most rivers in South Africa. We also offer trips to rivers like the Zambezi. River guides courses and Trip Leaders workshops are also given. Our shop stocks all the relevant equipment needed to enjoy kayaking.
