Birdwatching At Zebula Golf Estate

Attention all birdwatchers! Zebula has always been very fond of its feathered friends that are indigenous to the Waterberg and South Africa area, and it seems that the feeling is mutual. You will not find a lot of spots so abundant in birdlife as at the Zebula Nature Reserve. Books have even been published on Zebula's birdlife (Birds of Zebula, 2009, A. Knott-Craig).

Two bird hides have been erected on the western slope of our 6 hectare big Python Dam. Each bird hide is big enough to accommodate groups up to 6. Boasting over 300 different species of birds, ensures that you will see a variety of birds and hopefully a few that you have never seen before.

Zebula has also built a bird aviary, affectionately called 'Bird Lover's Delight' at the Main Clubhouse area. This features a running stream and waterfall as well as an abundance of various exotic colourful species. Some of these bird species like the Green Cheek Conures are very sociable, and will come and greet you by sitting on your shoulder and nibble on your hair. Incorporated seating areas allow you to relax and enjoy the activities around you.
