Location
A Forest Loft, situated in Forest Town, Johannesburg, is centrally located in
the canopy of this large forested suburb, overlooking the Johannesburg Zoo and
some of the most prestigious suburbs in Johannesburg: Saxonworld, Westcliff and
the "Parks" Parkwood and Parkview.
This location offers easy access to OR Tambo Airport (25km), downtown
Johannesburg CBD (5km), and to the major central and northern shopping centres,
Killarney Mall(2km), Rosebank (4km) and Sandton(10km).
Amenities such as restaurants, ATM's and pharmacies are only short drive away.
The trendy restaurants of Melville, Parkview, Rosebank (including Rosebank Craft
Market), Killarney and Melrose Rose Arch are also within easy driving range. For
sport fans, A Forest Loft also provides quick access to Soccer City, Ellispark,
and the Wanderers' sports grounds. Transfers to and from the airport and
stadiums can be arranged.
Accommodation
A Forest Loft boasts with four luxury rooms with on-suite facilities. Two large
fully furnished rooms, both separate from the main house are available for short
or long term contracts. Two rooms with own private bathroom facilities within
the main house are also available. Units comprise amenities such as private
bathrooms facilities, minibars and tea and coffee stations.
Facilities
Guests can also make use of the TV lounge in the main house and during the long
summer months, guests can lounge on expansive patio surrounding the Bali-styled
pool and braai area. A lovely boma is also available for socializing around an
Africa wood fire in the evenings.
Parking and Security
A Forest Loft offers secure parking within the property, behind secure walling,
and guests can relax knowing the reputable 24-hour Forest Secure Village guards
are never more than 5 minutes away in case of any emergency. The property is
fully protected by state of the art alarm systems.
Activities
Although most of our guests are business persons looking for more personal and
quiet accommodation close to Rosebank and the CBD, there are a number of
interesting attractions to visit. The recently upgraded Johannesburg Zoo and the
Military Museum are just 100m away. In fact, the roar of the lions can be heard
on some mornings. Zoo Lake and its family orientated facilities are just around
the corner (2km).
