Anchor's Rest offers self catering accommodation in three luxurious private guest suites in the heart of
Umhlanga Rocks, all within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants.

Accommodation
Each of the modern, luxury self catering suites offers the following facilities:
- Private entrance with patio and barbecue facilities
- Sun loungers to soak up the warm sunshine
- Open plan bedroom and lounge area which opens onto the patio
- King size or twin beds
- Fully air conditioned plus ceiling fans
- En-suite bathrooms with shower and bath
- TV with a personal DStv decoder for satellite TV
- Wireless Internet
- Safes, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards
- Books and magazines for guests' reading pleasure
The kitchens are well equipped where all of your self-catering needs are met with good quality kitchen appliances and equipment.
All suites have 100% cotton percale linen with down pillows. Bathroom toiletries are provided so that you can relax and indulge yourself after a day of sun bathing, shopping or business activities.
A solar heated swimming pool is provided for greater swimming comfort throughout the year. We offer a daily laundry service as well as credit card facilities for Visa and MasterCard.
Anchor's Rest has excellent security with electric fencing and gates so that you can relax and enjoy your leisure, or business activities. Leave your vehicle in our secure car park and walk to all facilities of Umhlanga Rocks with peace of mind.
Suite 1:
Large, luxuriously appointed garden suite which sleeps two adults in either a king size bed, or twin beds. A third person or child (above the age of 10 years) can be accommodated on a sleeper couch. Suite 1 is often referred to as the "Honeymoon Suite" as it is private and very spacious where you can relax in the lounge area, or on the private patio with sundowners.
Honeymoon couples are welcomed to Anchor's Rest with a complimentary cold bottle of sparkling wine and a box of chocolates.
The garden in front of this suite has an abundance of birds in the indigenous trees where you can watch them feeding, or bathing in the bird bath as you enjoy your breakfast on the patio in the warm sunshine.
Suite 2:
Large, beautifully appointed garden suite which sleeps two adults in either a king size bed, or twin beds. A third person or child (above the age of 10 years) can be accommodated on a sleeper couch.
This suite has a large corner bath and shower, which is ideal for a long, luxurious soak!
There is a private covered patio, which is ideal for outdoor living. Situated in the garden away from other guest rooms, you have the feeling of being in your own garden apartment.
Suite 4:
A large, luxuriously appointed suite overlooking the pool and tropical garden. This suite has a large, private patio with an electric sun awning, which is ideal for protection from the hot midday sun or to make your evening barbecue that bit cosier.
This suite accommodates two people in either a king size bed, or twin beds. This suite offers the most cupboard space for the longer-term traveller.
There is a large, modern en suite bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Relaxation:
After a busy day sight seeing, sun tanning on the beach, or a day at the office, you can relax around the sparkling pool enjoying the balmy, tropical weather of the north coast and the warm hospitality of your hosts. In the evening barbecue under the stars, dine al-fresco in the garden, or take a two-minute walk into Umhlanga to enjoy the excellent cuisine of many fine restaurants. Choose from Sea Food, Italian, Mediterranean, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mauritian and excellent restaurants specializing in steak.
Sporting Facilities:
Nearby sporting facilities include golf, tennis, squash, health clubs, scuba diving and snorkeling, deep sea and rock/beach fishing, surfing, horse riding, micro light and helicopter flights, quad biking, skate boarding and ten pin bowling are all available within a short distance of Anchor's Rest.
Service:
"Meet and Greet" airport transfers can be arranged at competitive rates. Car rental can also be arranged with delivery to and from Anchor's Rest.
To assist the leisure traveller, we have an experienced in-house tour guide who will gladly assist you with arranging day and overnight tours to the various exciting tourist attractions that KwaZulu-Natal has to offer.
