Nestled between the Lesotho mountains and the Golden Gate Reserve in the picturesque town of Clarens, Applegate Lodge is your quintessential highlands home away from home. Whether you're seeking a wild adventure, quality time away from it all, or something in between, Applegate is the idyllic choice for your well earned getaway.

The only aspect that will take a little getting use to is the wide open spaces and magnificent views from your patio.

To tops things off, with our fully included daily cleaning service, Applegate Lodge provides the freedom of self-catering without the hassle of washing up!

Just 2.5 hours from Johannesburg by car and 3.5 hours from Durban, Applegate lodge is neither too far nor too close - it's both a great weekender and fantastic vacationing spot.

Accommodation
Equipped with all the amenities of modern living with 4 bedrooms (8 pax), 2 bathrooms, a spacious lounge and patio area, and a large kitchen with scullery - you can bring the whole family, invite a group of friends, or make it just the two of you. With our included daily maid service, we ensure a relaxing, hassle-free and memorable stay.

In-house entertainment includes a DVD player, DSTV and sound system. DVDs may be rented in town. DSTV (Satellite television) is available at a set nightly rate but feel free to bring and use your own DSTV decoder card at no charge.

There is one room with a double bed and on-suite bathroom and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each, all of which have electric blankets for use in winter. There is an additional separate bathroom.

The kitchen is large with all necessary appliances, including microwave and washing machine for doing laundry. There is a washing line outside the kitchen door.

Applegate Lodge is provides each guest with bath and hand towels.

Our caretaker will visit everyday at a time convenient to you to wash dishes, clean the kitchen, and make up the rooms.

Location
Applegate offers the perfect balance between privacy and accessibility. It is a 8min walk to the town centre, a 4min walk to one of the many local pubs and restaurants, and for those golf enthusiasts, you can tee off the 1st on the brand new 18-hole Clarens Golf Course 3 minutes after leaving the lodge! And if you don't feel like going anywhere - try your hand at Boule on the front lawn, or morning tea on the patio or cozy up for an afternoon movie.
