Sue and Harald welcome you to Avalon on Sea, our charming, family run Guest House.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Avalon on Sea is located directly on the sea front and is perfectly situated for Whale watching, birding or a casual walk along the famous Cliff Path. It is along this route that the Southern Right Wales can be seen, when they visit annually to breed and nurse in the warm waters below.

Avalon on Sea is within 5 minutes walk from the center of Hermanus, so our patrons can enjoy the "Park and Walk" life style, leaving their vehicles in the secure car park and walking the short distance to the town's fine restaurants, the craft market, shops and cinemas and the world's only Whale Crier.

Hearty, healthy breakfasts are served daily, whilst dinners and picnic hampers are available on request.

We offer three sea facing luxury double rooms with magnificent views over Walker Bay, one standard twin bedded room and one luxury double room which can be used as a family unit with adjacent children's room.

Avalon on Sea has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that allows our guests to sit back and relax in the lounge or around the pool.

All bookings for restaurants, whaleboats, shark diving, kayaking, golf, mountain bikes or day excursions to Cape Agulhas or the Wine lands are gladly made. Airport transfers can be arranged.

Although Avalon on Sea is a non-smoking establishment, ashtrays are provided in the pool area.

Children under parent's supervision are welcome.
