Avalon Bed & Breakfast is located in the beautiful seaside village of
Zinkwazi Beach, on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal - 80kms north of Durban, and
a 40 minute drive from King Shaka Airport. Avalon is exactly halfway between
Richards Bay and Durban, which also makes it an ideal overnight stop for the
business traveller.
Zinkwazi is an unspoilt beach holiday destination with beautiful golden beaches,
rock pools and an unexploited 8km lagoon where you can go fishing, boating or
bird watching. The main swimming beach is attended by life savers and protected
by shark nets. Dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the waves all year
round, and from July to November whales are often spotted in the deep where they
perform spectacular breaches, leaping out of the water.
Whether you are on holiday with the family, on business or just wanting a
weekend away, Avalon Bed & Breakfast is a place to relax, kick back, savour your
surrounds and listen to the sound of waves in the distance. A gentle sea breeze
cools even the hottest of days whilst sitting on the balcony having breakfast,
reading your book or just relaxing. A few minutes walk will take you to the
beach, where you can explore the rock pools at low tide or swim in the waves.
You can laze by the pool or relax at one of our 3 outdoor seating areas. A full
breakfast is included, and can be served under the umbrella on the sun soaked
deck or while sitting on the balcony enjoying the sea breeze.
We have 4 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, each of which has their own private
entrance, remote control ceiling fan, flat screen TV with DSTV, a fridge, kettle with tea/coffee tray,
hairdryer, and plenty of cupboard space.
- Family Suite: consisting of 2 bedrooms (one room with a queen bed and one room
with two single beds), and a large bathroom with bath and separate shower.
- Room 1: This very large room has a queen size bed and two singles, an en-suite
with bath and separate shower.
- Room 2: This large room has a queen size bed and en-suite with shower.
- Room 3: This large room has two single beds and an en-suite with shower.
