The Beach-house on the Mountain is a spacious, open plan, double storey house with panoramic views of both beaches and mountains.

Accommodation
The main living area is on the upper level. The bedrooms are situated on the lower level. Both levels open on to wooden decks. There are four double rooms, each with an en suite bathroom. Three of the rooms have double beds, while the third has twin beds. This configuration can be adjusted. In addition, there is a one-roomed, self-contained flatlet on the property, which can accommodate two extra people if required.

Accessibility
Cape Town International airport is 30 minutes away. Visitors can also use the local train to travel to the city or enjoy the scenic train journey along the coast to Simonstown. This train route is very safe. The house is situated on the slopes of Muizenberg Mountain, so there are plenty of steps to climb. The property is not recommended for the elderly or for the physically challenged. The unique nature of the location means there is no driveway access.

In the immediate vicinity
Muizenberg beach is less than 10 minutes walk away - this beach extends for 40 kilometres! There are numerous other swimming beaches and safe tidal pools along the route to Simonstown, including the world famous Boulder's Beach, which supports a colony of Jackass penguins. A seashore walkway links Muizenberg with historic St James and Kalk Bay fishing village. Here there are plenty of restaurants and interesting arty shops. Visitors can enjoy breath taking mountain walks just above the property. The vlei in front of the property offers a range of water activities including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, and fishing.
