Berghuis is a romantic thatched roof cottage surrounded by the beautiful and majestic Drakensberg Mountains.
It is ideal for a romantic getaway or an unforgettable holiday with friends and family.
Berghuis has 3 bedrooms, one en suite, additional bathroom, a poolroom and diningroom-lounge (under floor heating and fireplace), fully equiped kitchen and pantry. Fridge, deep-freeze and microwave.
An additional flat let with own bathroom adjacent to the house. Berghuis can sleep 2 to 10 people. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished. Linen, bath sheets, toilet soap and kitchen soap is supplied.
A satellite dish and TV with the normal TV channels in the lounge. If you want to receive DStv bring your own sim card along and slip it into the decoder. Enjoy the fireplace in winter (or summer for atmosphere!) with a glass of Hot Chocolate or glass of red wine!
Meander on one of several day hikes from the front door or in the Parks Board territory. Have breakfast at Three Pools from where you follow the hike to Bushman Rock paintings or go on a three and a half hour hike to the Sleeping Beauty cave or the hike to Pillar cave and for the fit further on to Rhino's Horn the third highest peak in the
southern Drakensberg Mountain's region. Try your hand at one of the superb golf courses in the area or just relax in the garden and enjoy the stunning views. River Tubing in summer is a great attraction for the brave and young at heart. The
Himeville museum and
Sani Pass are also within easy travelling distance.

Berghuis is fully serviced and comes with a housekeeper who will see to your every need. Her warm reception and friendly service will surely impress you! She could even make traditional "krummelpap" on request.

Crofters to Elandsrest General store and bottle store 1,5km from Berghuis.
Restaurant and other facilities at Drakensberg Gardens Hotel & Castle Burn Resort within a few kilometres from the cottage. For an enjoyable evening enjoy the wonderful food at The Himeville Arms Country Pub and Knights Grill and meet the locals in an English Pub atmosphere.
