Nearby is Seaforth Beach with a colony of Jackass penguins. Hit the beach and mingle with these winsome webfeet, who'll be unperturbed by your presence... they don't even bother to toddle around your towel, simply taking a shortcut over it.
The view and ambiance of
Simonstown is top of the menu. Fresh and wholesome meals are available overlooking the water...where the fish is so fresh "the only thing frozen is the ice". Sip cocktails and watch the sails of the Yacht Club or enjoy some fresh sushi.
There are many original art and craft shops. The original Scratch Patch forms part of the Mineral World and Topstones complex where you can literally roll around in a sea of tumbled and polished stones and pick your own to take home.
Simon's Town provides some of the finest Game Fishing in the world, with Yellowfin Tuna in excess of 150 lbs being landed on a regular basis. Charters can be arranged. False Bay is also the home to some of the finest Scuba Diving and Snorkeling sites... with many shipwrecks along the coastline.
