At the Blue Roan, we offer self catering accommodation 8km on a tar road out of the village of Magaliesburg in a peaceful and scenic country setting on a private farm. We cater for couples who want a peaceful and romantic getaway. Each of the 6 cottages sleeps 2 people and they are beautifully decorated and have a home-from-home appeal. Some of the cottages have themes which makes them fun and refreshingly different.

The luxurious self catering units are very spacious with tv, dvd players, log fireplace and fully equipped kitchenette (The cooking facilities include a full size 4 plate stove and oven, a microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee percolator, large refrigerator and all the pots, pans, oven dishes, roasting pans, utensils (including extra things like pasta servers, graters, scissors, strainers, and many many more)). All the units have jacuzzi baths and large showers, private patios, gardens and braais. Everything is provided down to the smallest detail. All you need to bring is your food. We invite you to make use of the main house and sit on wooden decks and which overlook rolling green lawns, peaceful horse paddocks and the beautiful Magaliesberg mountains, or sit in the spacious lapa by a stunning rock swimming pool and watch the abundant bird life.

Winter is special at the Blue Roan The fireplace in your unit and electric blanket in your bed will keep you warm and cosy at night, while the warm sunny days will invite you to explore the Magaliesberg.

If you don't want to sacrifice luxury for a stay in the country, then this is the place for you.

There is plenty to do in the area, ranging from sport, scenic drives, historic exhibitions and game drives, as well as a good selection of hotels and restaurants very close by if you enjoy eating out.
