Situated on a stone ridge above the beach, BO-BAKKIES Self Catering Cottages have one of the most beautiful views in Paternoster!

The name, "Bo-bakkies" literally means "above boats" - "bakkies" is what the boats are called by the local fishermen.

These old fishing cottages with their thick original stone walls were restored recently and although they are fitted with everything you will need to feel comfortable, these little cottages will surely take you back in time - come experience it!

Bo-bakkies 1 consist of a living area cum kitchen, equipped with everything you will need, a fireplace and DSTV. The bedroom has a double bed with crisp white linen and en-suite bathroom (with shower only). Outside is a patio with a braai overlooking the ocean.

Bo-bakkies 2 is an open plan unit - living room cum bedroom - double bed with luxury linen and en-suite bathroom (shower only). The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. The unit has an inside fireplace, DSTV and a patio outside with a braai, also overlooking the ocean.

With its white-washed fisherman's cottages that lie along the white beaches, Paternoster is definitely one of the most attractive villages on the West Coast and only 150 km from Cape Town.

Visit Cape Columbine Light House & Nature Reserve on your way to Tietiesbaai, browse through one of our local shops where you will find fine artists and potters at work or experience true West Coast hospitality at one of our restaurants.

Paternoster is the ideal base from where to visit nearby towns like Riebeek Kasteel and Darling, the hometown of the "infamous" Evita Bezuidenhout!... Enjoy some wine tasting at the excellent Wine Estates in the area... Veldrift on the Berg River is great for bird watchers... Visit the West Coast Fossil Park near Hopefield... Or consider spending a day in the West Coast National Park, which is particularly beautiful in spring (late August to end of September) with a kaleidoscope of colourful spring flowers.
