Your hosts, Joyce & Graham Greenwood, designed and constructed Candlewood Lodge to meet their own exacting standards and guests will feel totally at home in this sumptuous lodge. Each guest room is tastefully appointed in different styles so guests can choose which best suits them.

Just minutes from the town centre, and three Golf courses, Candlewood Lodge is the perfect spot to stay whilst you explore the surrounding attractions. From the airy rooms and dining courtyard with its fountain to the carefully maintained garden with its large sun deck, its pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, large atrium with extensive library and relaxing bar area, their devotion to detail and providing a perfect holiday getaway is apparent.

Activities: You name it we have it! From bungee jumping, canoeing, canopy tours through the forest trees, boat trips, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, kloofing, paintball, paragliding, quad biking, scenic flights, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, hiking.

Beaches and Forest: Knysna boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the W Cape with beaches that stretch for miles and forests where elephants roam free.
Our local beach located on Leisure Isle is a short 5 minute drive offering safe bathing in the tidal lagoon. There are many other 5 star rated beaches in and around Knysna many of which are just a short drive away.

Golf: Pezula and Simola both rated as some of the best golf courses in the world. Also a number of mashie courses and the Knysna Golf course by the lagoon offer every golfers dream.

Sailing and water sports: All types of sailing charters are available from the steady ferry boats to the larger yachts or you can hire a dingy from the yacht club. Knysna boasts a number of diving schools for your enjoyment.

Scenic drives: Breathtaking views of the Outeniqua Mountains through Prince Albert's Pass to Avontuur. Stately Yellowwoods and shimmering rivers, pretty rock pools and road side cafes

Night Life: A busy, vibrant waterfront with pubs and restaurants, a main street with Harry B's one of the main attractions with their live music and varied clientele, Zanzibar, Crimson, At 58, The Tin Roof, The Shebeen are just a few night spots for the late owls to enjoy. Our local cinema has all the latest releases!

Award winning dining: Knysna is no stranger to dining awards. Ile de Pain, Firefly, Daniela's and Zachary's at Pezula are just a few of many superb eating experiences.

All our rooms have the finest percale linen bedding, tea/coffee facilities, TV & DVD player, wall safe, hairdryer and armchairs.

The three spacious Luxury upstairs rooms are individually decorated and each has a large balcony with panoramic views across the lagoon to the Heads.

Shell is decorated in raspberry and coffee colors which makes the room warm and inviting. It is a spacious room with a large en suite wet room with walk in shower and a queen size bed, and private deck where guests sit under the Bougainvillea trees and see all the way through the famous Knysna Heads!

A large one bedroom suite suitable for 4 people or small family. This lovely suite has a fully equipped kitchenette, spacious lounge with two single beds and dining area, picture windows with full views of the lagoon and Heads, private entrance, separate bedroom with a queen size bed and a beautifully appointed large walk in shower wet room.
