Cape Footprints -enjoy a different getaway
Cape Footprints is a spacious modern house constructed using sandbags in the
image of two footprints. Located conveniently between Knysna on South
Africa's unique Garden Route, the house offers uninterrupted views of the Indian
Ocean where dolphins and whales can be regularly sighted. Kleinkranz beach is a
mere 2minute walk from the house.
The house comfortably sleeps 6 people (2 double and one twin room). There are 3
bathrooms with walk-in showers, a very spacious and well equipped kitchen with a
cooking island, an indoor braai (bbq) and a living room that overlooks the sea.
The house is designed to be as wheel chair friendly as possible. The inward
sloping roof captures rainfall that is used for everything except drinking.
Downstairs is a garage with ample space and most recently, a water-wise
indigenous garden has been planted in the front.
Cape Footprints is only 20minutes from George airport with daily flights from
Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Cape Town is less than 500kms by road. The
Garden Route stretches over 200kms from Mossel Bay to Storms River. It enjoys a
maritime climate with moderately hot summers and mild to chilly winters. The
area offers a multitude of outdoor activities for adults and children - hiking,
golfing, canoeing, cycling, paragliding, bungee jumping, elephant park,
monkeyland to name but a few. The area also has a number of excellent local
markets selling local produce and many different restaurants offering a fine
dining experience.
