Your hosts, Alex and Rene Dumas, will offer you a warm welcome at Colesview Guest House, where the comfort and satisfaction of their guests is their top priority.
The guesthouse is situated in the town of
Colesberg, an oasis in the Karoo, halfway to everywhere. Conveniently located in the upper part of town, we are just one kilometer off the N1 highway in a quiet, secluded, residential area, conducive to a good night's rest.
Recently refurbished, this elegant guesthouse offers a stunning view of Coleskop Mountain, visible from 40km away. When the sun slips below the horizon, brushing the sky with brilliant hues, Coleskop's former name, Towerberg (meaning Magic Mountain) seems more appropriate.
Our "rooms with a view" can accommodate
21 people in
6 stylishly decorated bedrooms,
all with their own entrances. The rooms sleep from 2 to 6 people (we have
three family rooms),
all with bathroom en-suite (either with bath, shower or both). The comfortable rooms are all equipped with double or twin beds, boasting hotel-grade mattresses, crisp linen, ceiling fans and heaters, electric blankets in winter, tea and coffee-making facilities and televisions.
All rooms are air-conditioned. Cots, hairdryers, extra mattresses and bedding are all available on request.
There is a small pub and guest lounge (with satellite TV),where you can unwind after an arduous day's traveling, as well as a sparkling pool to refresh you and a barbecue area where you can braai, lounge in the sun and get into the holiday spirit! Braai packs are available on request. We have secure parking available in the form of undercover, lock-up garages, as well as sufficient fridge and freezer space for your perishable items.
We offer a generous "English-style " breakfast in the morning, comprising a selection of cereals, fruit juice, bacon, sausage, eggs, tomato, yoghurt , toast and spreads and that essential bottomless cup of tea or coffee to kickstart you on your way! Breakfast is available from 6.30am in our dining room , otherwise a packed breakfast to enjoy on the road is also available on request.
Colesberg offers a selection of restaurants - all close to Colesview - if you fancy a night out on the town! If you are reluctant to move your vehicle or unhitch your trailer once you are settled into the guesthouse, your hosts will gladly ferry you to and from the restaurant of your choice.
