The romance of staying in a log cabin can be fulfilled when you stay at Cosy
Cabins where two one bedroomed log cabins are nestled on the hillside in a
pretty garden with sea views on the inland side of the main road in Southport.
They provide ideal holiday accommodation for small families, but are also
frequently utilized for their convenience by people working on contract in the
Port Shepstone area.
Unit 1 has a double bed in the bedroom plus a sleeper couch in the open
plan living area. The bathroom has a bath with telephone shower. This is a small
unit, suitable for a couple or a family with a maximum of 1 teenager or up to 2
smaller children.
The larger Unit 2, which has beautiful sea views from the deck sleeps 5,
with 2 single beds in the bedroom and one single bed and 2 bunks in the living
area. It has a shower in the bathroom.
Both units are fully equipped with TV ( including commercial bouquet DSTV),
stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. The garden is fully fenced and
gated and an alarm system is installed in each unit which also has its own braai.
All bed linen is provided, but we request that you bring your own towels,
toiletries, and provisions.
This is a very peaceful area for nature lovers with wonderful birdlife and
monkeys who frequently come into the garden to steal from our fruit trees. Cosy
Cabins are pet friendly on request.
Southport is situated between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone so is convenient for
the holiday entertainment which is provided along the Lower South Coast in peak
season, but it also appeals to many for the tranquillity that can be found here.
Cosy Cabins is less than 2km from the beautiful sandy Southport swimming beach,
with its guarded car park and grassed braai areas set amongst the milkwood
trees. There are two very popular restaurants in close vicinity to the beach,
and others within easy reach of Cosy Cabins.
Southport boasts a small shopping centre, just 700 meters from Cosy Cabins,
where you can buy most of the items you need in the short term, but for major
shopping Port Shepstone is only 6km away - and the malls of Shelly Beach another
15km.
For the sportsman, Port Shepstone Country Club offers a variety of sports
including one of 10 top class golf courses that can be found within a 50km
radius of Southport. Oribi Gorge offers the "Wild 5" extreme sports which
include Abseiling, Water Rafting, Bungee Swing, Gorge Slide and Horse Riding, as
well as Lake Eland Game Reserve, and Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, a mecca for
birdwatchers and hikers.
Fishermen can be spoilt for choices with shore or deep sea fishing, river
angling or even bass fishing a short drive away. The South Coast is also
renowned for two world class dive sites, and scuba diving is very popular.

experience all that this area has to offer, from arts and crafts, shopping
experiences, snakes and crocodiles, and long lazy days on the beach in this
area, which is always summer - or seems to be.
