Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on the western side of Morgan Bay, Coulwaters
offers you comfortable self catering accommodation, in sheltered, tranquil
surroundings. Traditionally a family holiday cottage, Coulwaters borders on a
coastal nature reserve that runs between Morgan Bay and Double Mouth and is
ideal for nature lovers and birders and is an easy walk to the sea.
The house consists of a lounge, dining room and open plan kitchen that lead onto
a covered patio, which provides a sheltered view of the indigenous riverine
forest. There are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs is
additional accommodation with separate access, which consists of two bedrooms
with a shower and toilet.
The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, convection microwave, fridge, deep
freeze, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There is an outside
sheltered braai area, as well as a kettle braai. All bedding is supplied. Guests
are required to bring their own towels. Satellite TV reception is available, but
you should bring your own decoder.
Morgan Bay has a small grocery and hardware store. Affordable meals are
available in the relaxed atmosphere of the Morgan Bay Hotel and other local
informal restaurants.
Whatever your age, a holiday at Morgan Bay is sure to provide special memories.
Whether it be:

- canoeing on the lagoon with its excellent bird life
- surf fishing from the rocks
- sunsets on the cliffs
- an evening cruise up the Kei River
- a game of golf, bowls or squash at the nearby Kei Mouth Country Club

the Transkei coast and 4X4 and quad bike adventures

hearing the Fish Eagles calling over the lagoon.

Young adults can enjoy the relaxed pubs and entertainment over the festive
season. The warm, dry winter weather of Morgan Bay has made it popular with
hikers and fishermen. A stay at Coulwaters is well suited to those hikers of the
Strandloper Trail and Wild Coast Meander, who want to extend their stay in the
area.
