Situated in the picturesque Nuy Valley, and overlooked by the majestic Langeberg
Mountains, right in the heart of olive country.
De Wilge's 2 x 2 bedroom flats were named after olive cultivars, namely Leccino
and Frantoio, as the cultivation of olives is our main activity.
The old wine cellar dates back to1905. During later years, it served as a cheese
factory and has recently been renovated to make room for these two luxuriously
furnished apartments which offers up market accommodation. The main bedroom
features a King/ Size four post double bed, while the second room has been
furnished with two beds. Should the need arises, extra bedding can be supplied
by prior arrangement. DSTV available.
The surrounds offer a vast range of outdoor activities, which include mountain
biking on the many veldpaths, hiking, canoeing, strolling in the outstretched
olive groves, and many more. Enjoy a sundowner on the 'stoep' whilst watching
the farm activities and magnificent mountains from a distance. The Toontjies
River valley, which received its name already during the seventeen hundreds when
elephants and predators still roamed here, is now home to vineyards and olive
groves.
Visiting the olive cellar, is a worthwhile experience, as the Willow Creek brand
name has become a respected supplier of excellent olive oil and associated
products. A number of awards have been received during recent years, both
locally and abroad.
Situated just off the R60 main road between Worcester and Robertson, the area
offers lots of activities from scenic drives, 4 x 4 routes, boat trips, Gary
player golf courses, wine tasting at numerous wine cellars and estates, water
sports and many more.
