Dreams of the Ocean is situated in tranquil Vermont, a suburb of Hermanus, within 10 minutes' walk from the sea, beautiful coastal walks and tidal pools. The house is modern and spacious. All the stylish, yet comfortable furniture and bedding is brand new and luxurious.

Vermont is a popular holiday spot with a nature reserve, gentle walks and its own & secluded beach, Brekfis Bay. It provides a perfect setting for picnicking and paddling. Flanked by high dunes, the beach is sheltered and has the freshness of unspoilt beauty, and there are beautiful swimming beaches within easy reach in the Walkerbay area.

The local wine estates of Hemel and Aarde & Onrus Beach are a few minutes' drive away. Cape Town is just over an hour's drive from Vermont, and Hermanus just a short 10 min drive. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a sparkling swimming pool, alarm system, ADT, indoor braai area, microwave, DStv, dvd player, linen and bath towels included. Full mountain views from both main bedrooms and relaxing outdoor area. And distant sea and bay views from the top living room and bar area.

Activities and things to do or see:

• Swim at the sandy Onrus beach, with safe lagoon swimming for children, 20 minutes' walk or a short 5 minute drive away.
• Watch the whales from the shore from July to November - best whale watching in the world! The highlight of the whale season is the annual Whale Festival around September.
• Walk along the many splendid cliff paths in unspoilt surroundings along the coastline, or enjoy the beautiful fynbos along mountain trails in Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Caledon Wild Flower Reserve and Harold Porter Botanical Gardens at Betty's Bay.
• Visit the craft market in Hermanus (Saturdays and Sundays), the many small shops and galleries.
• Klein River Cheese farm in Stanford offers picnic lunches with playgrounds, trampolines and farm animals for children.
•  Golf - 10 km from the renowned Arabella resort, 5 km to Hermanus or 15 min to Kleinmond.
• Boat trips, e.g. for whale watching, deep sea fishing, harbour tours.
• Visit the Caledon Spa and Casino - 30 minute's drive away.
• See the charming villages of Genadendal and Greyton, former mission stations (35 minutes drive).
• Take a drive to the picturesque fishing village of Gansbaai.
• Go shark cage diving at Kleinbaai, near Gansbaai.
• Visit wine estates in the Hemel and Aarde Valley nearby, or explore the many wine routes further afield.
