Driftwood is a luxurious two bedroom, pet-friendly log cabin situated
in the quiet, picturesque seaside village of Suiderstrand.
With spectacular sea views and vistas over the adjacent fynbos-rich Agulhas
National Park, Driftwood cabin is the ideal place to spend a holiday or a long
weekend.
Suiderstrand is the perfect destination for those who want to spend their time
in an unspoiled environment of breathtaking natural beauty.
Situated 5km from Cape Agulhas, the southernmost part of the African continent,
Suiderstrand offers the chance to either kick back and relax or participate in a
variety of more strenuous activities.
Whale watching: At certain times of the year the many Southern Right
Whales that visit this part of the coast can be viewed from the comfort of
Driftwood Cabin.
Agulhas National Park: This beautiful fynbos reserve is open for hiking,
mountain biking and guided tours.
Fishing: Suiderstrand is one of the most popular fishing destinations in
South Africa
Historical interest: The ingenious fish traps constructed by the original
Khoi-khoi are only a stone's throw away from Driftwood cabin. There is also a
museum at the Agulhas lighthouse and several shipwrecks are still visible along
the coast.
Adventure sports: The town of Struisbaai is only 10km away and offers
activities such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, scuba diving and shark
cage diving.
Great climate: Suiderstrand enjoys warm to hot and dry summer months and
cool to cold winter months - with most of its rain falling in winter.
Driftwood cabin
Driftwood is a two bedroom, fully equipped log cabin that sleeps 4 people and
includes a large open plan living area with a built in fireplace and a fully
equipped open plan dining room/ kitchen. Sliding doors lead out to a large deck
with beautiful sea views. Two medium sized double bedrooms, with stunning views,
equipped with mosquito nets, fans and reading lamps.
All linen is 100% Cotton and fresh towels are provided.
'Driftwood' is serviced and cleaned after each guest departs; or on a weekly
basis for longer stays.
Pets are welcome, but please bring own bedding. Dog bowls are provided.
All accommodation offered is NON Smoking.
