then a farm on the outskirts of George, but today centrally situated in town; 12
km from Wilderness Beach and 20 km from George Airport.

Spacious, antique furnished rooms, two with working Victorian fireplaces, offer
all modern amenities expected from a four star guest house. Guests can explore
the well-landscaped gardens - including a kitchen garden and small orchard. A
leisurely English breakfast can be enjoyed on the back terrace next to the
swimming pool while enjoying a spectacular view of the Outeniqua Mountains.
George makes an excellent base from which to explore the garden route, which is
famous for its scenic beauty, fynbos, long sandy beaches and some of the finest
golf courses. Visit the Cango Caves, ostrich farms or spend the day at our
closest beach, Victoria Bay - only 8 km away. Fairview is ideally located as a
base for day trips to Knysna (30 minutes drive away), Oudtshoorn (1 hour's
drive) and Mossel Bay (40 minutes drive).
