Fire Thorn Cottage is situated halfway between White River and Hazyview (20 Km) on the R40 and is ideally positioned to visit all the beautiful places on the Panorama Route as well as the Kruger Park (35km from the Phabeni Kruger Park Gate.)

Fire Thorn Cottage is a newly decorated 3 bedroom cottage with an additional outside room with it's own bathroom( Max 8 Guests) It has a stunning view of the Dam.

This tranquil and peaceful setting is the ideal location for anything from a romantic getaway to spending quality time with Family and Friends.

Listen to the sound of Fish Eagles crying; enjoy the sight of Zebras and the stunning view of the Lake while relaxing on your Veranda in your own private Splash pool.

The Cottages

Description of the Fire Thorn Cottage
The main bedroom( Queen size bed) with its own TV, is en-suite with a bath and separate shower. The second bedroom( 2 x 3/4 beds), with its own TV and DVD player, also has an en-suite bathroom with shower. Both rooms have glass doors leading onto the patio giving the rooms a great view. The third smaller bedroom has two 3/4 beds. There is also an outside room( 2x 3/4 beds) and has its own bathroom.

There is a cozy, open fireplace in the lounge. And a TV with DSTV channels. The Lounge also has large doors opening onto the Patio with a built-in braai and a private Splash pool and Pool table on the deck.

The modern, well equipped kitchen with Granite Tops has a large Fridge/Deepfreeze, Stove, Microwave, washing machine, Dishwasher etc.

HazeyRiver Reserve and Hulala Lodge
Secure area, walking trails, 9-hole 'Quolf' course, sundowner cruise...

Hazey River Reserve has only one entrance and is secured with electric fencing on the boundaries .Security guards are always on duty at the entrance and boundary fences.
At night internal patrols are added.

The entire Reserve is an undivided piece of land resulting in an open area where one can take advantage of a late night stroll and other activities.

There are three walking trails on the property - one an easy stroll through the plantation, the others slightly more energetic, through streams and over rocks. These walks take an hour to ninety minutes.

You will have the right to all Hulala Lakeside Lodge facilities. These may be used with permission from the Lodge. There is a small fee involved.

The most popular activity at Hulala Lakeside Lodge is boating and fishing, No power boats are allowed on the water, which maintains the ambience of peace and tranquility. They have a fleet of two-man canoes; peddle boats, rowing boats, bass boats and fishing rods for the anglers (for rent from the lodge), and the ever favourite "Sundowner Cruise".

Hulala Lakeside Lodge has a 9-hole "Quolf" Course - A mixture between croquet and golf.
Visit Hulala Resort�s excellent restaurant and/or cozy pub area. Lunch is from an A la Carte Menu. One has to book in advance for Breakfast and Supper.
