We are situated 7km from/near the N3 in Heidelberg Gauteng south. Only 75km from the Oliver Thambo airport. On/near the highway to Drakensberg and KwaZulu-Natal. Come enjoy the splendid views, space to breath or just enjoy the tranquil farm atmosphere. All this, less than a hour's drive from Jhb, just outside Heidelberg.

It is ideally suited for family breakaways or business stays as it lies within easy reach of Johannesburg (45 minutes), the East Rand, the Vaal Triangle and
Pretoria.
Here visitors can enjoy hiking into the hillocks of the Suikerbosrand where interesting rock formations await them.
Expect to see wild cosmos in March, various species of aloe and a burst of wild veldflowers in springtime. Also look out for the rare Heidelberg Copper Butterfly, discovered at Heidelberg in 1959. Other activities on the farm include bird watching, hiking and swimming. Come and experience country hospitality in Heidelberg!
Accommodation:
One double room with en-suite bathroom, second room has two single beds. Spacious lounge with fireplace. Second bathroom with shower. Breakfasts are served at separate breakfast table in lounge. Kitchen with stove and fridge for preparing light lunches and dinners. Weber braai facility.For a holiday or weekend stay on our guest farm come enjoy dinner ,bed and breakfast or a picnic.We can do a "packed" breakfast if you need privacy in your cottage.Secure under cover parking is available.On request we can stock your fridge with fresh food and drinks.

well as a outside braai area
Farmhouse - sleeps 6-8 people (4 rooms and 2 bathrooms)
Stone cottage- sleeps 4 ( 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms)

The cottages and rooms are private situated, in a secure area.
Every cottage is fully equipped.

- Bird Watching: Bird watching on the farm and at the nearby Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.
- Hiking Trails: Put on your hiking boots and experience unspoilt nature and beautiful views of the Suikerbosrand area. View the remnants of old stone kraaltjies/pens on the farm. Formal hiking routes on nearby farms and at the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve - please book in advance.

Tourist attractions in the area:
The Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve is some 15km from the farm. Other historical attractions include the AG Visser House built in 1890, the Diepkloof Farm Museum, The Triumvirate Monument and Town Hall, the Old Jail, the church widely known as the old Klipkerk after its beautiful stone construction and The Bakoond Historical Monument where the Boers built a bakoond over the fountain to safeguard their water-supply. The town boasts intriguing shops - from antique shops to a jewellery factory and an old fashioned sweets shop. Seasonal evening markets are also popular. The
Carnival City Casino Complex is only a 30 minutes' drive from the farm.
