Choose between a forest cottage with its balcony nestling amongst the trees or a luxury lodge tent tucked sympathetically into the fynbos and immerse yourself completely in the peace and tranquility that only nature can offer. Spend your days exploring the farm's own forest reserve, getting to know the animals and lazing by the pool or take a trip to a myriad of local attractions and outdoor activities, all within an hour's drive. In the evening why not book a sauna or simply sit on your deck watching the African sun disappear over the nearby mountains before cooking a meal or having a 'braai', all with delicious, locally sourced produce.

Each cottage and lodge tent is supplied with linen and towels as well as tea, coffee, sugar, and farm fresh milk.

Cottages have a cosy lounge with an open plan kitchen, 2 bedrooms (queen-size bed and 2/3 single beds), bathroom with shower, TV, electric stove and microwave, open fireplace, outside braai and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Each secluded cottage is surrounded by a wooden deck that offers breathtaking of the Garden Route's Outeniqua Mountains.

The two Family Lodge Tents are located on a large secluded site, with large campfire with seating, en-suite bathrooms and a wooden veranda, set on the edge of the forest with beautiful views. Equipped with fridge, double bed and bunkbeds, all linen and towels provided, as well as dining table with four chairs, a wooden cupboard with cups, plates and utensils as well as an electric kettle for your cup of tea in the morning. Outside, is Braai area and kitchen with gas stove, preparation surfaces and sinks. And for the more adventurous there is a private outdoor shower with possibly the best view in the Western Cape.

Activities on the farm:

• Solar-heated saltwater swimming pool and sauna.
• 3 walking trails through 60 hectares of private indigenous forest reserve.
• Bird watching and waiting for the bush buck at one of our secluded dams.
• Children can enjoy the play area or rather gather eggs from our friendly chickens.
• Massages in your own cottage or tented lodge
• We have a small number of DVD's on site as well as a range of books in the cottages
• Honeymoon and Romantic getaway packages on request

In the immediate area:

Bordering Homtini Guest Farm is the Millwood Nature reserve with its beautiful golden streams and water falls in a large rainforest and its historic gold mines. We are 15 km inland from the Goukamma Nature Reserve, a coastal area with deserted beaches, high sand dunes with walking paths and the Goukamma River which is great for canoeing (the river at the bottom of the guest farm comes out into the Goukamma River).

Just up the road from the guest farm you can go for beautiful forest horse rides or a flight in a micro-light plane. You can enjoy the buzz of Knysna (20 minute drive) and return to the peace of your cottage or lodge tent.
