Hoopoe Haven is a small and peaceful country guest house, situated in
beautiful Chartwell, but it is just a few km away from the hustle and bustle of
Lanseria
airport, the lion park and 'live' theatre at Broadacres Barnyard theatre and
Pieter Toerien's Montecasino theatre .
Hoopoe Haven is positioned on 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the countryside
with nearby Horse trails and a beautiful view of the Magaliesburg Mountains. It
is a place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet of the countryside. One
can watch the magnificent birdlife while you have a sundowner or a braai on the
patio or a cooling swim in our crystal clear pool, with a beautiful sunset in
the background. If you decide to stay up late on a clear evening you may even be
lucky enough to hear the roar of the lions from the lion park. The guests
staying at Hoopoe haven are amazed at the size and quality of the lodge and the
friendly atmosphere. A large number of our guests just like to 'cool out' at the
lodge and just relax and read a book from our library or watch birds
The lodge is a beautiful brand new thatch house with luxurious finishing's
including sandstone tiles, cherrywood cupboards, granite counter tops and
quality furniture, designed for comfortable living.
Facilities include upstairs braai and patio area, swimming pool, luxury lounge,
ADT security and electric fencing, internet facilities, entertainment area
including snooker/pool table, darts, board games. each main bedroom is
air-conditioned with a fridge, safe and piped DSTV.
We have 5 rooms in the lodge - 3 luxury en-suite rooms and a double and single
room sharing a bathroom) and 3 separate two bed roomed cottages (sleeps 4-5
each), a one bed-roomed family cottage (sleeps 2 adults and 2 children) and a
small 2 sleeper cottage (shower only).
We want you to view this house as your home away from home. There are no
restrictions at the lodge and you have your own access keys so you can come and
go whenever you please. With all these luxuries one would expect to pay the
earth, but the rates at Hoopoe Haven are extremely affordable.
