We pride ourselves on understanding the needs of both our corporate and leisure
guests and strive to make your stay a restful and memorable one.
What we offer
House on York offers elegant, well-designed en-suite rooms, individually
decorated with style and comfort in mind. It is set in Kensington South, within
walking distance of beautiful antique shops and quaint little coffee shops in
famous Queen Street. The peace and tranquillity belies the close proximity to
the highway, three exciting shopping malls and a wide selection of excellent
restaurants.
Our location is ideal for easy access to the main business districts of
Bedfordview, Edenvale, Germiston, Sandton and the city centre. Within a two
kilometer radius you will find the Bedford Gardens Hospital, the new Bedford
Center, Park Meadows and Eastgate shopping centres. There you will find a gym,
Ster Kinekor cinema nouveau and Nu Metro movie theatre, and of course, lots of
shops and restaurants. We are approximately 10 kilometers from O.R Tambo
International Airport.
House on York offers facilities for business meetings, breakfasts or lunches. We
can also host and cater baby shower parties, kitchen teas, beading workshops
etc.
House on York also offers a basic beauty salon for those who need to relax and
be spoiled. We have on display a variety of paintings by local artists, that are
available for purchase.

Our rooms all have a television with DSTV, an alarm clock radio, hospitality
trays, hair dryers and heater/fan for your comfort, and wireless internet
access.
Guests have access to the elegant and comfortable, communal lounge with a
fireplace and a television with DSTV. The dining room overlooks a sparkling
swimming pool and beautiful garden filled with bird life.
A delicious breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room or, weather permitting,
on the patio personally supervised by your host. Lunch and dinner will be
provided on request.
