Nestled in the peaceful
Central Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal you will find "Ihophe" Cottage - "Turtle Dove" Cottage.
The double storey thatched cottage boasts unrestricted views of Champagne Castle, Dragons Back, Cathkin Peak and Sterkhorn, second to none.
The cottage sleeps 6 persons in 3 double rooms, 2 with queen size beds and one with a double bed
(no smoking in cottage please).
The kitchen is well equipped including a microwave oven. The comfortable lounge has a TV,
please bring your own "Smartcard" for DStv.
There is a braai for those summer evenings or wintery afternoons.
Lovely hikes are on the property, Bushmen painting caves are not far away, or major hikes starting from close by
Monks Cowl station.
A falconry farm is close by with regular displays and trout fishing at the Bell Park Dam. Several good restaurants are in the valley as well as a number of interesting curio shops, boasting among other things candle-making and rug weaving. Helicopter flights are also available.
An 18 hole golf course is situated at the Sports & Racket Hotel.
The world famous
Drakensberg Boys Choir is a stones throw away. Regular concerts are held each
Wednesday evenings in the school auditorium during term.

I was an amazing holiday in the
mountains with the snow, the beautiful cottage, the view and we even went for
the canopy tour. Don't laugh but I even put my make up on, on the "stoep" so
