Springs
Springs is a quiet 'suburb' in Johannesburg, it gets its name from the many natural underground springs. It used to be a farming community until coal was found and it became a coal mining town which transported coal to the gold mines via railway. In 1904, gold was founded and by the 1930's, Springs was one of the lrgest gold mine communities in the world, with a total of 8 mines.

Attractions:
Springs boasts a lovely Country Club where you can enjoy a relaxing game of golf. The Carnival City Casino and entertainment world has something for the whole family from Slot machines, Card tables to Restaurants and games.

Climate:
Springs is in the Gauteng region and so enjoys a moderate climate with hot summer months and icy cold winter months. The rainfall is usually found during the summer months as heavy thunderstorms.
