The Johannesburg suburb of Forest Town is situated just to the North of Johannesburg's old central business district and is alongside the M1 highway. Bordered on Forest Town's western side by Jan Smuts Avenue, the suburb is just a stone's throw from the Johannesburg General Hospital and the College of Education. Forest Town is home to the Forest Town School for Cerebral Palsied Children. The suburb is extremely central for the visitor who has business in downtown Johannesburg and is just a few blocks from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Planetarium.
