Meyerspark
Meyerspark is a quiet but beautifully maintained suburb in Pretoria and is close to shopping centres which is convenient for visitors.
Attractions:
The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is one of the many places to visit with the whole family, the 1846 farm allows you to take a trip into history to demonstrate how the farm was maintained and how they baked bread, ground their own wheat, roasted coffee, made candles and you may even try your hand at milking. Spending the day at the Botanical Gardens is very relaxing and enjoyable for the whole family, you may enjoy a picnic under the trees or just meander through the beautiful gardens admiring the interesting plants and trees. The sand-stone Union Building which was completed in 1913 is most recognised in South Africa for its two wings of the building which represent the unity of the two cultures achieved since the Anglo Boer War. It is not open to the public but is admired by many from the beautiful surrounding gardens.
Climate:
Meyerspark enjoys a moderate climate with warm to hot summer months with most rainfall as thunderstorms and cool to very cold winter months. |
