The Roodepoort Museum is a fully refurbished farmhouse taht will take you bakc in time to the Victorian era where yu will learn about the history of the gold mining community from the 19th century to the modern times. Another interesting day out for the whole family is a trip to the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens, formerly known as the Witwatersrand National Botanical Gardens, where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the indigineous plants, wild flowers and the absolute beauty of the waterfall that attracts many visitors. The whole family will enjoy a day out at the Ngwenya Gallery where you can watch and learn as they blow recycled glass into beautiful art work.
