The Durban suburb of Essenwood is located just a few blocks to the Northwest of the city centre. This delightful suburb is within
easy reach of several of Durban's main attractions, but is known best of all for the Essenwood Craft Market. What makes this market extra special is
that it is set under a glorious canopy of luscious, evergreen trees which keeps the day cool and makes for a very pleasant meander among the stalls
arrayed with beautiful, unique and interesting products.
To the South of Essenwood is the world famous Durban Botanical Gardens, an absolute must for any visitor to the city. The suburb is bordered
on its seaward side by the Greyville Race Course, which itself harbours the links style Royal Durban Golf Club, a course that is void of trees because
of the race course. Essenwood is also only a short distance from the new Workshop development, and for rugby and cricket enthusiasts, close to Kings
Park and Kingsmead.
