Down in the extreme southeast corner of the Drakensberg Mountain Range is an area known as the Lower Berg Foothills Area. The area is dominated by the St Bernard's Peak, which is situated in the Southern. Majestic mountain peaks surround the area and many of the roads and tracks here are suitable for four wheel drive vehicles only. This is a small corner of KwaZulu-Natal that is almost surrounded by the Eastern Cape Province.
