The Kwasuka theatre is situated in a century old church, on Stamfordhill road in Durban. The Kwasuka theatre premises are leased form the Methodist church, and features a courtyard for outside performances.

The Kwasuka theatre is currently under new management, and intends to showcase new and innovative performing arts across the spectrum of all genres, with a primary focus on developing new South African works. Due to this, programming at the Kwazuka theatre is of an experimental nature. The Kwasuka theatre is extendin its scope to the development of film, audio visual, dance, and music and dance mediums, as well as the ongoing development of theatre management and administration skills among new professionals. The Kwasuka theatre has been steadfast in their pursuit of dramatic excellence at a time when not many other production companies and venues focus on "straight" theatre. Renowned veteran of theatre Themi Venturas, has picked up the lease, and is said to have a positive vision for the venue.
