The Monart Gallery, is a small contemporary gallery situated in The Block, on
Palm Boulevard opposite the Gateway shopping centre in Umhlanga. The gallery
offers a selection of artworks by various Durban artists as well as name such as
top selling South African artist Nic van Rensburg and renowned artist, chef and
Roman Catholic Priest Frans Claerhout as well as the likes of Audrey Rudnick,
Darren Aiken, Nunu Pepe and Gavin Risi. The Monart Gallery also holds an open
exhibition once a month titled Art in The Piazza, where local artists are
invited to attend and exhibit in order to provide a platform for them to
showcase their latest works.
