The Elizabeth Gordon Gallery was established almost 30 years ago, and is
located in a grand old Edwardian house on Durban's trendy Florida Road. The
gallery is one of KwaZulu Natal's leading commercial art galleries, and is well
stocked with original works by both established and emerging South African
artists which include watercolours by Lindy Acton, magnificent oil landscapes by
Robert Domijan, various mixed medium works by Hugh Mbawiya, and a wide variety
of work by other artists. The Elizabeth Gordon Gallery also hosts exhibitions of
new works on a regular basis.
The gallery offers clients consultations both in the home and office providing
valuable advice, and to catering to their specific requirements. Also featured
at the gallery is a well established framing department which specializes in
conservation framing. The framing department is on hand to gladly give ideas and
advice. All framing is undertaken on the premises, ensuring strict quality
control, and the Gallery also offers an exclusive range of handmade and hand
gilded frames. Quality prints are also available for purchase, and the gallery
will source unusual and different material to assist a client in creating a
particular theme. Specialized restoration of art works by highly trained and
experienced restorers is also offered to clients, and this work is also done on
the premises. Old or damaged frames can also be restored by qualified staff.
The Elizabeth Gordon Gallery is open form 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and
between 9am and 12:30pm on Saturdays. For more information call (031) 3038133 or
