The Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre is located about two hours from Durban, on the way to Hluhluwe, in the heart of Zululand, and is run by Louis and Cecillie Nel. The centre offers visitor interesting and informative tours, where they are provided with the opportunity to learn more about the endangered wild cats of South Africa. The primary aim of the centre is to establish a wildlife awareness and education centre, as well as creating work opportunities for the local community.

At the centre they work with various orphaned or injured cats in need of rehabilitation and care, which include wild Cheetahs, Serval Cats, African Wildcats and Caracal also known as Lynx. They also intend to breed where possible and release the offspring back into their natural habitat. Visitors are encourage to stop by for a visit, and witness the playfulness of the Servals, the sheer speed and agility of the majestic cheetahs, and the outstanding beauty of the Lynx.

The Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre offers educational tours on a daily basis, with feeding sessions taking place during the afternoon tour, as well as enlightening talks about the various animals and the project undertaken there, all of which is delivered by an experienced guide.
