The Baby Expo is known for being the biggest and best baby expo in the country, this is because The Baby Expo has show features that no other show has, giving our visitors an unforgetable experience. The Baby Expo is about taking care of parents and their families with educational talks and products.
The Baby Expo features include :
- Barney, BJ & Baby Bop brought to you by Baby City
The Durban show will bring Barney, BJ and Baby Bop which is brought to you by Baby City, with their brand new show "We're All Friends". The entrance to the Barney show is free , seats need to be reserved as they are limited. Tickets can be purchased through computicket closer to the date.
- Cool Catz Play Zone brought to you by e.tv
E.tv is the official broadcast partner to The Baby Expo and they will be bringing their popular children show, The Cool Catz to Durban by hosting a cool and kid friendly play arena, the play arena will provide lots of fun stuff to do and also colouring sheets featuring the characters from The Cool Catz show.
- Nestle Kids Kitchen and Baby Food Court
A new feature at the Durban's Baby Expo will be the Kids Kitchen which is sponsored by Nestle, this Kids Kitchen will be a fully functional kitchen with a working area, kids demo area and visitors seating. It is in a semi-enclosed casual enviroment which will have lots of activity with live food demos and nutritional workshops.
- Liberty Life Kids' Welcome & Registration Zone
Liberty Life will be returning to The Baby Expo this year and will be involved as a competition prize sponsor and looking after the well being the children visiting The Baby Expo. Liberty Life will be setting up a welcome and Registration area where every child is requied to have an identity bracelet filled out for them with perental contact details just incase they should get lost.
- Breastfeeding & Bottle Warming brought to you by SABR
Breatfeeding provides an opportunity for baby and mom to bond as it is a quiet and private time therefore SABR has set up private rooms where mums can feed their babies, and also provides a place for babies to relax after a lot of visual and auditory stimulation. In the private rooms there will also be bottle warming stations.
- Netcare Baby Clinic
Netcare will be offering expert advise to all visitors at their Stork Nest Clinics, the Netcare Baby Clinic will be manned by professional nurses, the nurses will be offering support to nervous moms and dads and also administering prescribed vaccines as supplied and enforced by the Department of Health to young babies for free. Other vaccines will be supplied at the normal cost such as : Hepatitis A Varilux, MMR and Hib.
- Nappy Change Rooms brought to you by Pampers
Pampers has set up rooms with nappy changing in mind at The Baby Expo, these rooms take away the stressing that comes with queueing of restrooms and provides a quick and comfortable place to change your baby.
- Pram Park brought to you by Baby City
For safety reasons there will be no prams allowed in the staging area for Barney's performance, therefore Baby City has set up a Pram Park, which is a cordoned-off area where you can park your pram securely. You will be given a number with a matching number on your pram allowing for accurate and fast location of the pram, this area is constantly supervised and monitored.
The Baby Expo is held at The ICC Durban, the address is 45 Ordnance Road (Braam Fisher Road), Durban, KwaZulu Natal. It is held on the 28th August 2009 at 10am to 30th August 2009 at 5pm. The fee is R50.00 per adult and children under 10 free , two children free per adult.
