The Brondal Avocado Festival held each year towards the end of May provides visitors with a wide and exciting variety of activities and attractions to look forward to each year, making it an event surely not to be missed. Organised by the Brondal community, a short distance from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga, the event helps to gather funds for certain projects in the area which include improvements to the local school, HIV/AIDS orientation and various other community issues which are addressed.

The Brondal Avocado Festival is an ideal family destination, and offers something for everyone. Attractions at the festival include the popular beer garden with live bands such as Des and Dan and the Stevenson Hamilton Pipe Band; talent competitions, numerous enticing food stalls, and well over one hundred various exhibitors which include the Old Wheels Club, a BMX track, much anticipated potjie competitions, spectacular air shows, game drives, air flips, clay pigeon shooting and many others.
